26 members took part in yesterday’s President v. Chairman Match for the Geoff Bridgefoot Memorial Trophy.
The afternoon started with a “Spider”  , the winner of the wood nearest the Jack received a bottle of whisky and the second wood receiving a cheque, both prizes donated by the President and Chairman.  This raised £25 for the President’s Charity, Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall. The competition was quite fierce at times with professional and sometimes lucky bowling on all six rinks but played under very friendly conditions with the sunshine making the afternoon more enjoyable.  The Chairman’s team being the winners.   A big thank you to the ladies who looked after the refreshments.

This is an annual competition and open to all full members of the club so make a note in your diary for 2027.
