2024 President’s Cups
Wednesday 24 July 2024
Members,
Today our members enjoyed an afternoon bowling for the two Presidents Cup competitions.
There were seven ladies who took part and drew for the first round, because we had an odd number one lady drew a bye:
Jackie and Audrey drew lane one. Jackie won
Mags drew lane three and got the bye and progressed to the semifinals.
Carol and Eleanor drew lane five. Eleanor won
Jane and Abby drew lane seven. Abby won

The club spectators witnessed some great bowling and some really tight scores, so congratulations to the ladies semi final winners Jackie and Mags and the gents semi final winners Alan and Colin. Both pairs will compete in their respective Presidents Cup finals on “Finals Day” Saturday 7th September.
Congratulations to all who took part and gave a splendid display of their bowling skills. Just a reminder that all first round losers along with the first round losers of the Mixed singles game qualify for the Longthorpe Plate, we are hoping that we can arrange for this competition to be played in a similar format to today’s competition.
Thank you and we look forward to witnessing some more excellent bowling on “Finals Day”

Chairman
