This afternoon (Wed 16 Sept 2026) we were treated to a great afternoons bowling. Yes the weather man didn’t disappoint and delivered his promised shower just as we were ending the first game, the rain quickly cleared and the rest of the afternoon was warm and “dry- – – – -ish”’.
The bowling was good quality at the end of a very hot summer, it made a change not having the weather so hot that games were either postponed or start time altered. Today we were again able to witness the skill displayed by some of the newer bowlers.  The Scorer our President, Peter, informed us that is was a very close match with worthy winners,
The winners were Jackie, Steve and Michael Ratcliffe,
The Runners up were  Ray, Paul and Colin.
Our thanks go to the bowlers and spectators for supporting the event, Peter for reckoning the the score totals without the need of an abacus, Jan for brewing the  tea and last of all Alan for his hard work throughout the season organising our club competitions and ensuring there were sufficient bowlers to make the afternoon both enjoyable and competitive.

Thank you,

Richard Harrison
