Members,

Our next Longthorpe Bowls Club Competition is the Roy Wedley Mixed Triples. Many of you will remember that this used to be an all day event involving Fours, Triples, Pairs and Singles. In recent years it became apparent that an all day event for just our club was no longer popular, so we have changed this to an afternoon game of triples, three games of six ends.

 

Mixed teams each team to have at least one lady and one gent.

Bowls England (EBA) Rules Apply except where indicated.

6 ends, toss for jack. Miscast jack opposition to set.

Jack killed sideways off the rink 3 shots and end awarded to the opposition.

 

Scoring 

Games 1-2, 2 points for each end won, 2 points for game win (shots). (Max 14points per game.)

Game 3, Only the five woods nearest the jack will score, shot =2 points next four bowls 1 point each Maximum of 6 points per end, 48 for the game. Only points will be recorded in game 4.

 The Match / Cup Winners will be decided by adding the points scored in matches 1-2 to the points scored in game 3.  Overall points, then shot difference, then shots scored will decide the eventual winners and runner ups.
