Message from our Team Captain of Woods – Club 55 League – Division 1

Promotion to Premier League

Today’s (5 September 2023) result confirms the Woods team’s final position in the Club 55 League one, we finish as Division One Champions having won 13 of 16 games and earning 116 points despite being penalised 5 points, because we had to cancel the game on the original date.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone who played for the Woods team either as a regular team member or as a sub, no matter how many times you played is not important, it’s the taking part that made all the difference and contributed to our final position so well done and thank you, I look forward to you joining us when we go out to celebrate the team’s success.

Finally a huge thank you and special gratitude to Tony our vice Captain, who has taken the reins as captain for the final weeks of the season.
